About Us
Sensei Mark Long has numerous years experience working with children and schools on Behavior & Learning Disorders, Anger Management, Empathy, and Impulsiveness and is certified in B.I.S.T. (Behavior Intervention Support Team). He has incorporated this experience into each of his programs. Promoting structure, organization, motivation, and positive reinforcement to create a perfect environment for learning and growth.
Currently contracted with the Independence School District, Sensei Long offers after school Karate programs at 13 local elementary schools and 3 middle schools. He also offers instruction at Family Christian Academy and Grain Valley Community Center.
Long's Shotokan Karate programs are nationally certified through Professional Combined Martial Arts (PCMA) Association. Mark started his martial arts career in 1972 and opened his first dojo in 1980 offering years of experience to his pupils.
